Roar Roar Nuggets (Ron Ritter) Ron Ritter, locally known as **Roar Roar Nuggets**, is a guitarist, composer, content creator, professional fighter, and well established Boar hunting guide/outfitter whose journey has taken him from the stages of Southern California and Warped Tour to world-title fights in South America and the swamps of Florida. Ritter began playing guitar in the third grade in Wisconsin and quickly developed an obsession with music that would shape the course of his life. As a teenager, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue music full-time, lived in the home of his father's longtime friend, Jerry Mathers, best known for his role as Theodore "Beaver" Cleaver on the classic television show Leave It to Beaver. During his years in California, Ritter immersed himself in the entertainment industry, working craft services and production jobs for major artists and productions, including projects involving Usher and Will Smith. The experience provided a behind-the-scenes education in the music and television business while he continued pursuing his own musical career. After relocating to Florida, Ritter co-founded the ska-punk band Pleasant Problem, where he helped establish the group as a fixture in the regional scene. The band shared stages with acts including Weak Sauce and performed numerous dates associated with the legendary Vans Warped Tour. Pleasant Problem was managed by Singerman Entertainment, a company known for working with internationally recognized artists such as Motörhead and Sepultura. The band's momentum continued to build as they appeared on a Skunk All Stars compilation released through Long Beach Records and Cherry Lane Music. Ritter also secured an endorsement deal with Halo Guitars, and discussions with major record labels suggested a promising future. However, growing disillusionment with the music industry led him to explore another passion: combat sports. Transitioning from musician to professional athlete, Ritter embarked on a career in kickboxing and mixed martial arts. His success earned him an opportunity on the reality television show New Era Fighting which brought him back to California. Although the show was ultimately canceled, it opened unexpected doors. Ritter went on to compete in Suriname, South America, where he challenged legendary striker Lloyd van Dams for a world title and also faced Rodney Glunder in major pay-per-view events. He later continued his career in professional MMA competition. Following years of competition, Ritter built a new career as a wild boar hunting guide. Through dedication and relentless work, he developed one of the largest wild boar hunting operations in the world, guiding hunters from across the globe and becoming widely known within the outdoor industry. Music, however, never stopped calling. At the beginning of the COVID era, Ritter suffered a devastating injury when a finger was severed. With a newborn child at home and uncertainty surrounding the emerging pandemic, he avoided the hospital and made the difficult decision to treat the injury himself before beginning a long rehabilitation process. Recovery took years, requiring determination and countless hours of retraining. Against the odds, the same rehabilitation that once seemed impossible ultimately helped him rebuild his technique and speed, allowing him to return to guitar playing stronger and faster than ever. Today, under the name Roar Roar Nuggets, Ritter shares music, stories, humor, and life experiences with a growing audience at local venues, on TikTok, and beyond. His path has been anything but conventional—musician, fighter, guide, author, entrepreneur, and creator—but every chapter has contributed to the unique perspective that defines both his music and his voice.
